"White Awake: Racism and the Church" at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary

On Monday, May 6th, we will not be meeting for Dinner Church. Instead, we encourage you to join others from the Sanctuary community at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary for their event, “A Day with Daniel Hill, author of ‘White Awake.’” There is a free workshop during the afternoon, dinner for $15 (if cost is prohibitive, please contact us, we’ll help you get there!), and a public, free lecture at 7pm.

1:00-5:00 p.m. Workshop for Ministry Leaders: "White Awake: Developing a Discipleship Framework for Awakening to and Confronting the System of Race"

  • 5:15-6:45 p.m. Dinner by reservation only. Kadel Dining Room, McNaugher Hall. $15/person 

  • 7:00-9:00 p.m. Evening presentation: "Racism and the Church: A Conversation with Daniel Hill and Todd Allen" Open to the public.

Advance registration is required for the workshop and dinner and encouraged for the evening presentation. The workshop and evening presentation are free; Dinner costs $15/person. You can attend one, two, or all three of the day's events.
